Publish or perish, right? I never could resist an opportunity for a byline. I continue to look for interesting story ideas, and continue to accept interesting assignments.
History matters: "And there are always mergers and acquisitions to deal with. In August, Google will become the default search engine used by Yahoo! Willner shakes her head. 'Now we have to rank well on Google too! Two months ago, who were they?'" From Working the Web, by Karen Millard, published in Saskatchewan Business Magazine, August 20001
I've been proud to be a contributing writer with the Saskatoon Women's Calendar Collective since 2000. Members of the SWCC research, write, and edit Herstory: The Canadian Women’s Calendar. The calendar features 350-word profiles of inspiring Canadian women and women’s groups and is published nationwide in Canada by Coteau Books of Regina. I designed and built the website as a site-building rookie, using MS FrontPage, and am currently in the process of renovating it to conform to modern W3C standards. (Those pages, however, are still on my hard drive. View the code on the server at your own risk...)
And another work-in-progress. Be forewarned.
1. Yahoo! dumped Google in February 2004.
